(NYSE: CFN), a leading, global medical technology company, today announced plans to present the results of a closed-loop medication safety initiative completed with UAE-based Corniche Hospital, in collaboration with Cerner, during the Medication Safety Conference, Nov. 15-17 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The program enables data sharing and centralizes clinical information between the Pyxis MedStation® system and the Pyxis® Anesthesia system from CareFusion, and the Cerner electronic health record (EHR). In addition, Corniche Hospital uses Pyxis CIISafe™ system for management of controlled substances and the Pyxis PARx® system for a closed-loop medication replenishment process.
