A4e Response to Committee of Public Accounts 'Preventing Fraud in Contracted Employment Programmes' Report PR Newswire LONDON, September 28, 2012 LONDON, September 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A4e is a different company from the one it was two years ago. Together with the findings of the audits earlier this year by the DWP and SFA, and with further reviews by the Welsh and Northern Ireland Governments and the international law firm White & Case LLP, A4e's business has now been thoroughly and extensively examined by external auditors. Both the DWP and SFA confirmed they identified no evidence of fraud, systemic, attempted or otherwise in relation to any audit completed of the contracts they hold with A4e. No other provider has undergone such a thorough and forensic review of its systems and contracts. Where improvements have been suggested, we are implementing them. Under a new chairman and chief executive, A4e has devoted considerable resources to tightening its systems relating to all its contracts and to ensure robust contract compliance measures are embedded across all divisions of our business. This is transforming the way we operate. The allegations highlighted in today's report all relate to historical, paper-based contracts. Where we have made mistakes in the past, we have acknowledged them and ensured that all allegations, where evidence was provided, were fully examined. There are no new allegations in this report.
