THESE FILES REPRESENT THE FINAL VERSION OF THE EES ELECTION STUDY. THE DATAFILE IS FULLY LABELLED AND INCLUDES WEIGHTS; 1/ POLITICAL WEIGHT; THIS ACCOUNTS FOR FIRST PREFERENCE VOTING BEHAVIOUR IN THE EUROPEAN ELECTION 2004. Note on methodology: Research Method and Response RatesA sample of 1582 individuals was achieved from a stratified random sample of households within 52 sampling points chosen to provide a broad representation of the population of Northern Ireland. If no interview was achieved at the selected address the adjacent house on the left hand side of the property was selected. This provided a household which should display similar demographic characteristics to that originally sampled and excluded the time consuming process of issuing substitute addresses. We achieved a response rate of 62% of the original addresses attempted. All others were substituted by adjacent houses.
