Lokos /s/ SUBJECT: Audit of USAID/Malawi’s Implementation of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (Report No. 4-612-07-011-P) This memorandum transmits the Office of Inspector General’s final report on the subject audit. In finalizing this report, we considered management comments on the draft report and have included those comments in their entirety in Appendix II. The report includes five recommendations to USAID/Malawi and one recommendation to USAID/Southern Africa to assist USAID/Malawi in improving its efforts to provide proper accountability for its Emergency Plan activities. In responding to the draft report, USAID/Malawi concurred with Recommendations No. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and provided plans in response to these recommendations. Accordingly, management decisions have been reached on Recommendations No. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
